Fifteen years of renovating and redecorating her own homes have given Sharleen Hucker, lead designer at Decorate26., the experience and know how to transform your interior design dream into a reality. With the encouragement of friends and family who have long admired her sense of style and eye for interior design, Sharleen decided to formalise her skill, experience and talent as a graduate of the Nanette Cameron School of Interior Design in 2013. In 2015, Sharleen launched her interior design business, Decorate26.
“I create dream interiors for clients looking for that point of difference. I have the ability to transform your residential space into a haven that reflects best the people living within it. I am really looking forward to working alongside you and bringing to life your dream home”.
Another small job but wow what a magnificent result!
We have friends from America coming to stay and the spare room was looking tired and not very welcoming. Having had Sharleen do other small decorating jobs, I thought she would have the answer to a bedroom that needed freshening up but not wanting to spend a fortune.
Sharleen suggested fitted blinds for the windows that overlook the city. It was a balance between blocking light from a street light for sleeping and retaining the view at other times. For the other window she suggested the most stunning drapes in perfect colours to enhance what was already in the room. Again a combination I would never have thought of. The last additions were two bedside lamps and a small table to sit beside the existing antique chair.
As a returning customer I can highly recommend Sharleen for any of your interior decorating needs from small jobs to large.

“Sharleen from Decorate26 has done a magnificent job advising and sourcing cushions and dining chairs. This may sound like a small job but one that I have been putting off for so long. It was lovely to have the cushions there to see. The colours are great and totally different to what I imagined might look good. They fit the room and have made it both more comfortable and stylish.
The second small job that other companies might consider not worth their time was the replacement of the dining chairs. Our lovely antique fruit wood chairs are not quite so comfortable for aging and thinning bottoms. I had in mind antique chairs with padded seats and was not considering anything else until Sharleen arrived with a very simple, comfortable and stylish modern chair for us to look at. The result is beautiful and comfortable chairs gracing our lovely kauri table.
Sharleen we have enjoyed your vision, ideas, skill and confidence to move us out of our comfort zone but to leave us feeling totally in control and excited with the result.”
